Mode of Action
Mesotrione is a selective, systemic herbicide absorbed by foliage and roots, translocated acropetally and basipetally via the phloem and xylem. It inhibits 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD), an enzyme essential for plastoquinone and tocopherol biosynthesis, which in turn affects carotenoid production. The disruption of this pathway leads to chlorophyll degradation, causing leaf whitening (bleaching) followed by necrosis of meristematic tissue and eventual plant death.

Time of application
Zorya can be applied with knapsack sprayer fitted with flat fan nozzle at 2-4 leaf stage of weeds.
